I created this blanket using leftover alpaca yarn from previous projects, giving it a unique look. It’s a wonderful way to use up yarn remnants while crafting something both stunning and functional. Let’s dive into the details!

Small leaf in corner space, 3 ch, finish with invisible join to the initial leaf.
After you finish all 25 squares, sew in the yarn ends. Although blocking your squares for a professional finish is recommended, I opted not to block mine, and the result was still fantastic.
Joining the Squares:
To join the squares, use yarn in Color A:
Lay your squares flat, arranging them in the order you prefer.
Either sew or crochet them together. I crocheted the squares together using a slip stitch (ss) to the back loop (BL).
Hold two squares back-to-back, and use the 2nd loop on the square nearest to you and the 1st loop on the farthest square.
Slip stitch to both corner chains: 15 ss to dc, 2 ss to corner chains, ch 2, and repeat across the row.
Be sure not to twist the squares. Use a marker on the first square to help.
Edge:
Before starting the edge, check its condition and adjust the number of stitches as needed. Attach a new color of yarn to the corner using a slip stitch, and tighten it before starting.
Row 1 (Color A): A row of sc around the entire blanket.
All sc stitches except for the corners are crocheted into the back loops.
In each corner, use COR1.
Sc across each sc and both chains of the square edges (you should have 4 sc at the square connections).
Rows 2-3 (Color B): Rows of dc.
In the first corner, use COR4A.
For the remaining 3 corners, use COR4.
dc to each sc.
Row 4 (Color B): /COR1, (ch, skip 1, sc) repeat to the end of the side, ch/ x 4.
Finish with a slip stitch to the first corner space.
Row 5 (Color B): /COR1, (ch, skip 1, sc to the skipped sc of row 3) repeat to the end of the side, ch/ x 4.
Finish with an invisible join.
