Instructions
Round 1: With a warm color, make a magic ring and Ch 3.
Work 2 Dc into the magic ring.
Ch 2, then 3 Dc into the magic ring.
Ch 1, change to a different warm color (drop the previous yarn; you’ll pick it up later).
Ch 1, then 3 Dc into the magic ring.
Ch 2, then 3 Dc into the magic ring.
Ch 1, sl st into the top single strand of the initial Ch 3.
Turn, sl st into the Ch space.
Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as a Dc), then Dc into the Ch space.
Dc across to the next corner Ch space.
(2 Dc, Ch 2, 2 Dc) into the corner Ch space.
Dc across to the next corner Ch space.
(2 Dc, Ch 1) into the Ch space, pick up the previous warm color yarn (drop the one you’re using).
(Ch 1, 2 Dc) into the same Ch space to complete the corner cluster.
Dc across to the next corner Ch space.
(2 Dc, Ch 2, 2 Dc) into the Ch space.
Dc across to the next corner Ch space.
(2 Dc, Ch 1) into the last Ch space, sl st to the top of the initial Ch 3, turn, sl st into the Ch space.
Rounds 3-4: Repeat Round 2.
Round 5: Repeat Round 4, but only Ch 1 in the open corner spaces.
Finish off, weave in the inner ends, but leave tails about 8-10 inches long for sewing the pieces together.
